This past Saturday, Markentum participated in #TheLongestDay as we continue the fight to end Alzheimer's. The Longest Day is the day with the most light, the summer solstice, when thousands of participants come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's by raising awareness, fundraising, and supporting research efforts.
In the upcoming weeks, Markentum team members will be showing our support by sharing activities that can help keep your brain sharp and healthy. Stay tuned!
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power | Netflix
Stay with me on this one... It is a reboot of the cartoon from the 80s, but that is where the similarities end. It turned out to have an amazing plot and storytelling while exploring themes of family, loyalty, betrayal, friendship, sacrifice, destiny, and doing what is right.
The show has been acclaimed for its portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters. It inspires me because these characters are developed organically, without losing the action that keeps you entertained.

Bear Creek Dog Park | Colorado Springs, CO
This 25-acre park is the perfect place for your furry friends to stretch their legs! This park is always full of plenty of dogs to sniff noses and chase each other around. Plus, there is a stream that runs through the center of the park so it is perfect for these warm days we've been experiencing!
This park has been a go-to during COVID because there is plenty of room to social distance while your dogs can get some energy out!

This book motivates you to be who you are and use what you have to get what you want throughout life. In these uncertain times, we can't help but think about the "what ifs", especially as summer approaches and many of us are forced to cancel our summer 2020 plans with friends and family.
Some find it hard to stay positive while some fear what others may think of them, whether we lost our job or a family member, this book reminds us that our feelings are valid but to continue pushing through!
