triangleSeaspiracy | Netflix

A disturbing documentary but definitely an eye-opener. As an avid fisherman, my main takeaways were:

(A) What's happening to our seas and oceans goes deeper than just microplastics (still a big problem); it involves commercial fishing and the perils that go with it like bycatch or accidental catch that has killed 50 million sharks.

(B) We'll have empty oceans by 2050 if we don't reverse course.

(C) How corrupt the organizations are that should be monitoring it - who watches the watchers?

The documentary is a great call to action but are we up to the challenge? As one resource person puts it: marine ecosystems can bounce back quickly if allowed to do so.

triangle1 Second Everyday - Your Video Diary

This app has been around for a little while, but if you haven't downloaded it yet, you should!

It takes one second from each day and stitches them together into a quick, fun video. Even if you don't take video, you can allow it to import a photo from your camera roll, so it makes it pretty easy to document life happenings -- and in a fun way!

triangleThe Organized Mind by Daniel J. Letvin

This book is about how to think about data and weigh different hard decisions. One of the most interesting ideas today was the framing effect. This says that we will often make totally different decisions based on how the options are framed to us.
