triangleGoogle Home Assistant

Using a voice assistant is nothing new, but I think a lot of people don't realize how much they can actually do! Not only do I use mine to play music and set timers, but I also use it to turn on lights in my house, add things to my grocery list, and remind myself to water my plants. I encourage you to check out all the things your voice assistant can do so you can truly take advantage of it!

triangleThe Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

This historical fiction novel tells the story of two sisters in France during World War II and their struggle to survive and resist the German occupation of France. It's an extremely powerful story of two women who, while different, have the same courage to risk their lives to save others.

I love Kristin Hannah as an author because she has a way of connecting you to a time period and makes you feel all the emotions of that time. This book is also set to be an upcoming 2022 film starring Dakota and Elle Fanning - definitely looking forward to it!

triangleOur Local Library

It had been a while since I've been to the library in person, and now it is a weekly occurrence! A couple of weeks back, school was closed for my children, so I was working remotely while having them home, which was quite a challenge. In an attempt to make things more fun for them, and to help me be able to focus and get some work done, we all ventured to the library one afternoon!

It ended up being a huge hit and now after school every day the kids want to go there! If you haven't been in recently, you should go check out your local library. Ours has been doing some really cool things, like putting together what they call "Lit Kits" based on the interests of your kids! We are hooked!
