The Old Wives' Tale by Arnold Bennett
This "great novel of two sisters and two businesses in the 19th century" is worth reading for the way it "captures the evolution of modern commercial culture". One critic even raves, "Each time I'm in the midst of reading it, I think it's the best novel ever written."

This Month's Quote
Website visitors and consumers are bombarded by thousands of messages, advertisements, and notifications every minute of the day. This causes marketing campaigns to be over the top and extra, leading companies to lose their core message in the campaign.
Marketing is about getting your message to the consumer and showing the value you offer. Doing less well means a lot more dead ends, missteps, trial and error, design iteration, and frustration. It means more thinking, more craft, and more care.
