Markentum Monday allows our team to share what coffee shops we're supporting, what books are helping us improve ourselves, and more! 🌱Make sure to follow our Spotify playlist, '2021: Music with Momentum' -- with new songs added every week -- to hear what we're listening to and loving!

Is that snake poisonous? What is that brightly colored bird outside my window? Have you ever found yourself trying to identify flora or fauna, but aren't sure what you're looking at? Try the iSeek app. It was developed by a joint initiative between the California Academy of Sciences and National Geographic. It allows you to identify plants and animals just by taking a picture of them.
You can also earn badges for different types of plants and animals you identify, so it can be a fun way to engage your children as well.

As we lead up to The Longest Day on June 22, Team Markentum is sharing ways to promote self-care and take care of yourself.
"Keeping with the theme of self-care, I recently started keeping a worry journal. I try to write in it at least once a day, either when I wake up or before I go to bed. If I write in it at night, I write down the things that are causing me stress or keeping me up. If I write in the morning, I tend to write a mantra for the day or something that I should keep in mind. I don't typically journal, so I've been working on keeping up with this one to see if it helps reduce my overall stress."

Carnelian Coffee Co | Colorado City, CO
The Colorado Team is always looking for a great coffee shop to meet up and collaborate on all things Markentum. We love Carnelian because they are awesome about COVID safety precautions and their coffee is delicious.
Right now they have a yummy seasonal strawberry cream cold brew. A few other shop highlights include a 25c crystal dispenser (just like a candy dispenser, but so much better) and a free little library! Stop by if you live in the area and give them a like on Facebook!

In this book, Newport explores alternative organization strategies to what he calls the "Hyperactive Hive Mind." His goal is to give people more time to focus on their work without constant interruptions. His earlier book, Deep Work, was about the process of working with focus, while this one is meant to help teams allow for more of that across the company.
