This artist takes real-life negative reviews of national parks and illustrates them into pretty great (and pretty sarcastic) art. It is a great account to follow if you enjoy the outdoors, appreciate our national parks, and are up for a good laugh!

triangleThe People We Keep by Allison Larkin

This book follows April, a teenage singer who leaves a bad home life and chooses to take care of herself. It chronicles her travels across the country, the lives she impacts, and the people that impact her.

Everyone has met different people throughout their lives but some leave a lasting impression and stay with us even if we don't see them often - or ever again. This book was a reminder to think about the important people in my life and how grateful I am to have met them.

While it may seem like an odd way to find inspiration, for me it is a great way to reconnect with myself and reflect internally. Having to go through all the items and clutter I have collected over the years brings back memories and causes me to think about who I was and how much I have grown.

Packing and moving into a new place also helps me feel like I have a fresh start - like I am entering a new phase in my life. It gives me the opportunity to purge the past and start over as the person I want to be.
